05/11 I want to thank you again for the grand tour of the farm. It was so nice to finally meet you face to face. It's a pleasure working with you.

12/20/11 Mark and Margaret, It was a pleasure to work with you both this past year. The service was great and the action was so quick (don't always get that nowadays!).

12/2011 It was good getting to know you this past year and I have appreciated the time you took to share with me your efforts to work with landowners to encorporate conservation requirements in leases for farmland. I especially appreciated the conservation lease seminar at Drake.

Farm Management Services

Full Service from negotiating the lease through collection and payment of income and expenses. A variety of lease forms are available to fit the owner’s needs. Emphasis is placed on finding the right tenant that will provide the right compensation, conservation assistance and record keeping for the landowner.

Limited Farm Management

This non-traditional approach is to offer a service to a landowner of an annual farm management review of the farm. This would be a complete analysis of income and expense as well as government programs, lease terms, soil and water quality, building and improvement recommendations and operator assessment. The owner still negotiates the lease, handles his (or her) own income and expenses and is the day-to-day contact with the tenant. This approach is less costly to the landlord and sometimes more friendly to the farm operator working relationship. The owner gets outside guidance without giving up control. In a climate of low incomes, as it is now, this is a good alternative to the landlord and a benefit to the tenant.
